My taste in music isn't very cool.  I love me a bit of guilty pleasures-esque 70s disco

My name is Katy and I'm a 70s discoaholic (that discoahol is really dangerous stuff, just a sniff and you'll be cutting some rug on a dancefloor near you before you can say Studio 54).  This isn't a mellow, dreamy playlist, it's deeply uncool but we all need some guilty pleasures every now and then. This is a collection of some of my favourite 70s guilty pleasures - the Walter Murphy kicks things off with a classic warming us up for some delightfully. Even if you're not hugely familiar with the likes of the Stargard, the Chaka Khan and the Rose Royce, anyone who remembers a bit of 90s house (or, er, 1988 house in the case of the last one) is likely to find a few familiar riffs, as these were lovingly sampled for some rather well known dance tracks*.  Patrice Rushen, well, to me she *is* 70s disco. And, well, the honeyed tones of Gwen McCrae and some belting notes from The Pointer Sisters, I couldn't resist these gems.  Finally, the quintessential Love Walrus himself winds us down again with a gentler pace for 'Love's Theme'. Nice.

*if you couldn't place them, it was Stardust's 'Music Sounds Better with You', David Morales' 'Needin' U' and S'Express 'Theme from S'Express' in that order. I told you it was all pretty uncool.
