Move Your Feet, Open Your Mouth [Spotify]

Electricity - Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark
Hanky Panky - Rita Chao
A Town Without Pity - Gene Pitney
Ford Mustang - Serge Gainsbourg
He Hit Me (It Felt Like a Kiss) - The Crystals
Switch on Bach - Moderne
Summer Wine - Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood
Sound and Vision - David Bowie

I like music from the past, 3 minute pop songs and anything that you can move to, so that’s what this playlist is made up of. For me, music should make you want to move your feet to dance or open your mouth to sing.

The songs on my playlist are ones that I often listen to, because they always manage to make me feel something again. Some are full of nostalgia, some give that feeling of a satisfying stretch after an afternoon nap, whilst others make me want to dance like Molly Ringwald in the musical interlude bit from The Breakfast Club. There’s a bit of controversial Phil Spector, some aggressive enunciation from Serge and a bit of Bowie to end. I’ve always liked to think that Sound and Vision goes on forever - and that someone just turned the volume down and walked away. Hope you tap your feet.
