These are the sacred Playlist Club rules for those creating playlists. If you want to know more about Playlist Club, or would like to join in and share playlists of your own then take a butcher's at the about page.

Playlist Rules:

1. Each playlist must be 8 tracks long, no more no less. (No sneaking in a thirty-minute track, or a collection of soundbytes)

2. All tracks on a playlist must be available to listen to online in the UK.

3. Playlists must exist in one place (e.g. Spotify, a single Soundcloud link, or a YouTube video playlist). 

4. There is no limit on the era, style or recording artists. What's old to you, may be new to others. 

5. This isn't Desert Island Discs. We're not looking for your definitive playlist but something current to you now.

6. No links to illegal downloads, all playlists need to be hosted somewhere legit.

7. Not everyone is going to like your playlist, so don't stress it and have fun!
